Pleasantstone Aviette is a partbred by our foundation Pinto/Arab mares, Pleasantstone Rockette. Thank you Gail Wilder of Wild-R-Farm!

Hi Julie,
Many thanks for all the gorgeous pictures and info on Rockette. I don’t mind at all if you send info around about our farm or Aviette. Such a boon to you as a breeder to have your boys out there with Sterling! I saw a page about them. That’s a feather in your cap, Julie, and of course Sterling Graburn is pure pro with class. I have “spoken” through email to him before about a carriage I have, and sent him pictures of Aviette today. .. Anyway, I think your breeding program is traveling a very bright path. I’ve got to see Earl in person some day!
Kudos to you,
Gail

Right now Aviette’s just over 14’ at the withers and 15’ at the croup, but even so, she is very balanced. She uses her hind end better than any horse I’ve worked with.
After I rode her today, (jumping grid work), I introduced her to a gentleman who had never worked with horses before, but admires them greatly. I put them in the round pen and instructed him how to communicate with Avi using his body. She is perfect for this kind of “therapy” work for adults because she is super sensitive and responsive. She can sense an honest soul right away. The dialogue between the two of them was touching, and empowering for him. Twice Avi looked outside the pen for me, but in the end she put trust in her own instincts and “went for a walk” with somebody she didn’t know. She gave a great gift to this man, who has just lost his daughter."

"Julie, I just want you to know that Avi competed in her first hunter show Aug. 5&6th. We decided to let my daughter, Leah take her in the 18" hunterdivision, having jumped her first complete course just 3 days prior. Well, she handled everything beautifully. The indoor venue, the decorated jumps, noise, etc. Leah did a wonderful job with her and took a reserve champion in that division. I then decided to put them in the pony hunter division with jumps at 2'3". Her flat class was evennbsp;better, and she took 2 seconds on herjumping rounds. The judge from NY thought she was darling. She is very happy here and gets out plenty. I rode her on the cross country course up in Missoula, and she definitely enjoyed herself! We'll spend this winter on her dressage basics. Once she is solid there and carries herself well, she can compete in hunter, jumper and eventing happily....3 hours ago, I dismounted a certain black cob mare and realized my face was tired from so much smiling….She’s a diva and I just love to ride that one! This is her year to get out and go everywhere..
Hope you’re all well and thanks again Julie,
Here is a short video if you'd like to see her."

CS Timbrel is making a name for herself. She has won in many hunter-jumper open and Welsh shows with the young ladies whom own her. Thank you Alex Ann and Sierra!

"Hi Julie
I'm so glad that you'll get to see Timbrel at the Welsh show. Here's a sneak preview of us jumping from last summer. Timbrel and I are the biggest ones jumping from the right. I've only had Timbrel for about 2 years, but we've made lots of progress and I absolutely adore her. We do all kinds of riding. She will dive straight into the herd when we do team penning in high school equestrian team. She loves jumping and especially jumping cross country. We've done endurance rides of 25 miles and 50 miles. This week I put on a camp for our little pony clubbers and she was wonderful for the 11yr old that rode her on the trail.
We hope to see you at the show."

This year Alex went to State with Anna as a part of the Equestrian Team at
her high school. She and Anna and their team partner won the bronze medal
for the entire region here. I am very proud of both of them for all their
hard work.
I will have Alex send you some pics as soon as she returns from CA.
Thanks, Elise.

"We are having a great time with Deyanu. He is the most and gentle kind
natured colt we have ever been around and he is a quick learner. Thank you
so much for all your help and advice. He will join our other ranch geldings
to complete our horse family and help with the cattle. You can trust that he
will be loved."

Testimonials

Dear Julie,
I need to officially measure him with more than a tape, but he is 14 hands
by the tape. His dam, Patches, is only 12 hands. He is very athletic and
spunky and extremely curious. He is overly friendly which we are working on
(RESPECT!) He plays soccer with a large ball by himself! He kicks it and
then chases it and then kicks it... for about 3-4 minutes and then gets
bored. Cosmos is definitely more like dad in personality, his dam can
be stubborn and a little willful. Cosmos learns fast and doesn't freak
out at new things. He eyes them and if given a few moments he accepts
whatever it is. Oh, he is learning his place in a herd of mares which is a
good thing. He is the only boy with 4 other girls. Oh, he is a mischief
maker! Just try to put in fences or fix something in the field while he is
there. He may investigate and take it with him!
I love his coloring. It is a very deep chestnut with the black and white.
His tail and mane have obvious 3 colors. I wish he would stop eating !his
mom's mane! It used to be bushy!

Big E is a top notch sport pony and I hope to have him inspected with ASPR
next year. E is doing very good in his training. He is so trusting of me.
Took him on along ride over a large ranch. Some things were scary but he
went wherever I wanted him to.
All is well,
Bonnie Jernagan

Thank you Mahoneys! Dixie has turned out to be the best mare we could have
ever had. Although since we bought Dixie she has contracted moon blindness
in her right eye she is completely at ease in her job as 'trail boss mare'.
She is as sure footed as ever. She knows our woods like the back of her own
paddock. We will continue to use her on the trail rides and as brood mare
for our Pinto Arabian endurance crosses and lessons horse. She is the
trusted mare that we put all the children on. A valuable baby sitter too!
She is such a valuable addition to our family. I know that you had trouble
parting with her. I was happy that you still had her pretty black and white
daughter, Onyx, bred to your beautiful Welsh Cob stallion. What a nice foal
that cross will make!

"Duke and Dante Of Earl"
are Earls first foals out of our foundation pinto Arabian mares. We are very proud of them and have some letters to share from their owners, Wendy Ying and Sterling Graburn of Irish Hobby Farm in Florida. Their web site is www.irishhobby.com

"Hi julie and david,
here are some more pictures of duke and dante !!! Ok...i'm sure sterling
told you..I love them ! Duke is my favorite...he is mommy's baby. they are
doing really well...they are very sweet and we showed them in prelim pairs
at black prong. they are very quiet and good but are athletic too. send
me you snail mail address and i'll send you a dvd of them driving.
thanks so much for breeding such nice little guys !

Wendy Ying, DVM

Hi julie,
wow...congrats on the inspections and the pictures look great ! He is such
a cute pony ! Duke and Dante are doing great and have really blossomed this
year. After i got home from the pony world championships with Megastar, i
started showing the boys again and they were 1st or 2nd at every show...
1st in pairs, 2nd in tandem at the Driving Derby at the Upperville Horse
show 1st prelim pair horse at Waldingfield HT (won dressage and cones, 2nd
on marathon) 1st prelim single horse at GMHA CDE with Dante ( won all 3 phases by a mile !!!)
2nd prelim pair horse at Laurels CDE ( 2n on marathon)
1st prelim pair horse at Gladstone CDE(won the marathon)
2nd prelim pair horse at Oak Hill CDE (won the marathon)
Sterling has a great shot at the US team for the horse singles this
year so i decided he needed a second horse, so we split the boys up
and are driving them single. We plan on trying to qualify Duke and
Dante for the long list this spring at the selection trials.
we took them to a show last weekend and they were superstars !
Sterling drove Dante and i drove Duke and we took them intermediate
single horse. Dante has only shown single 2 times and Duke only once.
Dante always wins his dressage and at this show was 2nd by 2 points
to an advanced horse just imported from Micheal Freund's (2 time world
4 in hand champion) barn. Duke had some spectacular moments as you can see
from the pictures. In marathon, i had never pushed Duke as a single but he was always a goer in the pair and he made me soooo proud ! There were 6 hazards, i won 3 and sterling won 3 and then we were 2nd to each other also...so duke
and dante were 1st and 2nd on marathon These hazards were open and galloping
and the bigger horses thought they had an advantage over us but the boys are really fast and brave and even in the water where the drag is hard on a
little horse, we kicked ass !!! I have video of the dressage and
cones and i will get it up on the web site this week.
I would love another Duke ! do you still have his dam ? did i send
you the pictures of him in dressage at the last show ? Dante was
great too and is easier to drive but duke, he
is going to be a world champion !!!
after the announcement that the WEG is to be held in KY in 2010, sterling
and i have decided to put together a 4 in hand with Duke as a leader and
Dante as a wheeler. We need at least 6 horses and have D/D, and a 3
yr old and a 4 yr old that sterling bred so if you had 2 black or
black and white that might fit in our team,Geldings would be
better but mares are ok too. I would really love another duke someday
too but I"m too impatient for babies right now. and how would that
look for Earl ? a 4 in hand of his babies at the WEG !!!!! they
might have to add a new classification for him in the stud book :) so
email me a list of the ones you think might work out and how they are
related to Duke and Dante. Any full siblings to Duke over 3 would be
my 1st choice....Sterling would prefer Dante brothers ;)

hi julie,
sorry ive been out of touch for a while .we have also been competing in the
selection trials for the USEF singles team to go to the world championships
and your baby dante has been kickin' ass !!!! We won live oak intermediate
div in march, then placed 5th at our first advanced, then 3rd at our next
advanced and winning the marathon over sterling, fred miriam and scott
munroe !!! At the national championships, Dante was 6th out of 23. this
was the mandatory selection trial so it was all the advanced single drivers
in the USA. We won 2 of the 8 hazards and had a great cones round. I was
standing in the line up looking down the line and realizing the only horse
who hadn't been on a USEF team was Sterling and Quincey and they were all
seasoned campaigners...at least 3 yrs in advanced and here is little 6 yr
old dante !!! I would say, one of my proudest moments as a horse owner !
We are competing at Bromont in CAN next week and have a good shot at the
alternate spot on the team. I never thought we could go this far but he is
a really trooper and totally honest.
lets talk about you breeding another pair of duke and dantes. Everyone
loves them here on the east coast because of their cuteness, size and
athletic ability.
We really love the boys...thanks for breeding such wonderful horses.
wendy
Congratulations Julie and Earl !!!! what exciting news. Sterling and I can
not thank you enough for breeding our fabulous Earl babies, Duke of Earl and
Dante of Earl. Not only are they flashy movers but have great minds and are
super athletes. In 2006, Dante asa 6 yr old was 6th in the USEF combined
driving horse of the year awards and was shortlisted for the USEF single
driving team which competed at the world championships in Rome, Italy. Duke
is moving up to advanced this year and has been undefeated on marathon every
time out at the lower levels and the boys will be part of a 4 in hand we are
putting together for the World Equestrian Games in KY in 2010. But the very
best thing about these boys is their temperment. Sterling teaches driving
lessons with them and we take them on picnic drives. We will most certainly
attend our local ASPR inspection here in florida so they can see his older
crossbred offspring who are competing at FEI level.
good luck with Earl in dressage and the ASPR !

Thank you Valistalashia family on the purchase of CS Rhubarb ( Rocky X
Mananthas Hosanna) a family horse and for their vaulting club and family friend. The girls bonded with Rhubarb right away and he was so good in their vaulting club that he became a valued part of the Forward Stride Flying Star Vaulters team: This is their report:

"Rhubarb (or Rhu) is Flying Star Vaulter's proud vaulting horse. He is a
seven-year-old Pinto-Arabian and Shire cross (imagine that). You'll notice
him as the white and black alpha gelding with one blue eye and one brown. He
is a horse who wants to please and learns quickly. It won't be long before
he's carrying Forward Stride's Flying Star Vaulters to competitions in the
Northwest and eventually the National Championships! Learn more about

Many times Champion CS Tiger Lilly by Madron sold to Roger and Kristine to
become one of their foundation broodmares at The Shamrock K Equestrian
Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. Before Roger passed away he and Kristine also
leased and showed our beloved mare, CS Maranantha to many championships.
Roger was a great horse trainer and he loved his 'Nantha'! (pictured
together) We miss them both.

Hi! My name is Valerie Brown, and I recently
purchased Topaz, a yearling pony from Julie Mahoney of
Cornerstone Farms. Topaz is WONDERFUL! He has a
docile, willing and easy temperment. He's never
kicked or bitten and our 3 and 4 year old children
groom him and feed him treats every day. I purchased
him over the internet through interaction with Julie,
and she is the most genuine and honest person I've
ever dealt with, honestly! My family comments every
day on how lucky we are to have acquired this
beautiful pony as part of our lives. I have been
involved in equestrian activities since age 4, and am
now 38, and have competed on the professional dressage
circuit for most of my life. I looked for a pony for
my children and was browsing the net when I found
Cornerstone's site. I can say with the greatest of
confidence, that the ponies they offer, are about the
best you will find anywhere. In terms of hauling,
Russ Caine delivered Topaz to our door, unscathed, in good shape.

CS Dancer now owned by Jesse and Julie Smith, Medford Oregon. These young
ladies are wonderfully talented horse women and they have been training
Dancer for an all- around useful horse partner. We wish them the very best.
Perhaps Dancer will compete at the Southern Oregon Equestrian Team for South
Medford High-school in the future where the girls show their other horses to
state championships. Go Dancer!
