     For Sale: Pleasantstone Pocahontas

Pleasant Stone Pocahontas 5-01 ( CS Braveheart X Misha Adana)

This young mare is a Pintabian breeder’s dream come true! 32/32 nds Arabian with impeccable bloodlines. ‘Poca’ is a sweetheart that loves people and attention. She is very fancy with extremely attractive rich bay spotted markings sporting a black and white flag tail. “WOW LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL PINTO MOVE” is an expression we often hear when we have any horse minded visitors at our farm! Poca will surely not go anywhere unnoticed.

Our goal is to produce a beautifully colored and functional horse and pony that can be used and enjoyed by anybody who loves equines. Our emphasis is on producing both purebred and part-bred prospects of the finest quality for the pleasure, endurance, sport horse, performance disciplines and use around the family farm and we carefully choose our breeding stock with this goal in mind. Our breeding program has been one of “quality not quantity”.  We know that Pocahontas is one of these individuals who can breed on these attributes in the future.

‘Poca’ is now at the age to begin her saddle training and with her quick mind she is highly trainable. She already loves her grooming and hoof care easily trailers and does much ground work such as side passing and moving her haunch and front end over with a slight touch. She is very responsive and will do well in dressage and endurance riding. With a good and able trainer nothing will stop her from being a beautiful and athletic mount. Her movement is precise and she is as a high quality vehicle with tremendous shocks on her fluid far reaching steps. She is very quick and could be used as a confident swift cow pony if her new owner has some ranch work to accomplish. But best of all she is truly a people horse and loves to be worked with.

Some of the elements we consider to be essential in our breeding is substance and correct conformation, smooth movement, classic beauty, and a pleasant, willing disposition. We believe these traits are inherent in the traditional Arabian horse and are largely responsible for the worldwide popularity of the breed. The horse that can do it with beauty, grace and style. A good foundation to build upon and you cannot go wrong in your breeding efforts.  Pocahontas is such a foundation mare for a quality Pintabian or sport horse-breeding plan. Her blood is proven & she will follow her in her ancestors Ch. Hooveprints!

Pictured above are sire and dam of Pleasantstone Pocahontas. Misha Adana, purebred triple Bask Crabbet bred mare and CS Braveheart, 15/16th Arabian black and white pinto. CS Braveheart’s sire, the champion *Padron son Madron and his full sister, Life’s Magic were both bred by the Mahoney’s . Life’s Magic,  produced the many times Champion Arabian stallion, Enchanter Magic  (*Padron X Life’s Magic), a Supreme sire of many contemporary Champion Arabians today, has the impressive show record of; 1995 Scottsdale Champion stallion, 1994 Canadian National Champion Stallion, and 1995 Reserve Champion USA stallion.

A superior Arabian athlete with its classic type is unmistakably Arabian, while also possessing a keen mind that is easily trained and the famous “Bedouin tent horse” temperament that allowed their ancestors to live as part of the family, in their masters’ house. Any good horse or pony should also be sound and correctly conformed with good health, longevity and hardiness in order to provide his beloved family with many years of enjoyment. We strive to produce these attributes in every equine we breed and believe that mares like Pleasantstone Pocahontas proves this out. If you are looking for a superior young mare to train or begin your breeding program here is a good place to start.
